The Canadian Experience Class is a program offered for skilled workers who have prior Canadian work experience who wish to obtain a PR.

The Federal Skilled Worker Program is for skilled workers with prior experience who wish to obtain a PR.
Eligibility
Skilled work experience in the required NOC TEER category
Skilled work experience having the same NOC as the primary occupation
Skilled work must be paid with at least 1 year of continuous work within the last 10 years
1560 hours total/30 hours per week
For part time work: one can work more or less than 15 hours/week if the total adds up to 1560 hours total
Students work experience: work experience may count if work was paid by wages or commissions and was continuous without any gaps (must meet all other program requirements)

The Federal Skilled Trades Program is for skilled workers who wish to obtain PR based on them being qualified in a skilled trade.
Eligibility
Skilled trades work experience
Minimum 2 years of full-time work experience (or equal part-time work experience) in a skilled trade within 5 years prior to applying
Skilled work experience in the required NOC category
Work experience counts only if qualified to practice the trade where the work experience was obtained
Work experience must be paid work
NOC Groups work experience:
Major Group 72, technical trades and transportation officers and controllers
excluding Sub-Major Group 726, transportation officers and controllers
Major Group 73, general trades
Major Group 82, supervisors in natural resources, agriculture and related production
Major Group 83, occupations in natural resources and related production
Major Group 92, processing, manufacturing and utilities supervisors, and utilities operators and controllers
Major Group 93, central control and process operators and aircraft assembly assemblers and inspectors, excluding Sub-Major Group 932, aircraft assemblers and aircraft assembly inspectors
Minor Group 6320, cooks, butchers and bakers
Unit Group 62200, chefs
Job offer or certificate of qualification
Job offer: Valid job offer of full time employment for at least one year
Certification of qualification: certificate of qualification in one’s skilled trade issued by a Canadian provincial, territorial, or federal authority
Must have passed certification exam
Must meet all requirements to practise trade in province/territory that has issued the certificate
Certificate is issued by a provincial or territorial body that governs trades or a federal authority
Each province has its own certificate requirements and process
There may be requirements to go to the province/territory to assess trade and/or tip need an employer in Canada to provide one with experience and training
Language ability
Are valid for two years after the test result date
